STUDENT ARTIST IN RESIDENCE,EASTCASTLE PLACE, MILWAUKEE WI - 2018- 2019

Accepted into a program designed to give student artists time and space to become a part of an aging community and engage in art making. Paired with a community mentor, identified a goal for the year, planned and facilitated a series of workshops working towards that goal. Compensated through room and board at Eastcastle Place. 

SELECTED GUEST LECTURER: ARTIST TALK, SELECTED GUEST JUROR, MILWAUKEE LOOSE BEAD SOCIETY, LOOSE BEAD SOCIETY OF GREATER MILWAUKEE, NEW BERLIN PUBLIC LIBRARY, NEW BERLIN. WI - 2018  

Prepared and delivered Artist Talk at a Loose Bead Society Meeting, held a discussion and talk back afterwards. Selected to be guest juror for October 2018 Challenge Pieces, viewed and discussed various pieces made by Loose Bead Society members and deliberated with other jurors. 

INSTRUCTOR FOR JEWELRY AND METALS SUMMER COURSE, COLLEGE FOR KIDS AND TEENS, UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE, MILWAUKEE WI - SUMMER OF 2017 & 2018

Prepared and planned all course materials for a jewelry and metalsmithing class geared towards students age 12 - 17 years old. Provided materials for individual students to complete the projects assigned. Demonstrated skills and techniques, tested knowledge of students and documented finished pieces. 

RESEARCH ASSISTANT, UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN- MILWAUKEE, MILWAUKEE WI, - SPRING 2018

Managed social media, public relations, and student relations for research project funded through the Support for Undergraduate Research Fellows Association. Awarded $1,500 for one semester. Coordinated events, donation drives, and volunteer participation. 

SENIOR STUDENT STUDIO TECHNICIAN, UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN MILWAUKEE, MILWAUKEE WI -  2016-2019

Oversaw the Jewelry and Metalsmithing Studio; maintained and fixed machines and equipment, sustained a clean and safe environment for students using the studio space. Delegated responsibilities to other students. Worked with Faculty to provide a productive working environment. 

PRESIDENT AND PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, OBJECT: A STUDENT METALSMITHING ORGANIZATION, UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MILWAUKEE, MILWAUKEE WI. -  2017-2019

Ensured club ran smoothly, delegated tasks to other officers, recruited students to join. In charge of social media, student relations, and faculty outreach. Ran social media promotion and marketing campaigns. Coordinated educational events, workshops, and trips to symposiums and conferences for members of Object. Awarded grant funding for student activities. Organized various sale and entrepreneurial events for students. Oversaw Object’s annual contemporary craft sale, which typically grosses roughly $5,000 from student work.
