Hi!
I am a Milwaukee-based artist, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Jewelry and Metalsmithing, and a certificate in Digital Fabrication and Design at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, Peck School of the Arts. I am drawn to making adornment, pieces destined for the body. I like to incorporate bright colors and satirical text in my work to convey a sense of humor and offer the viewer a double-take at the work. Recently, I have started to work at a larger scale, as a way of engaging our conditioning of jewelry, and its relationship to space and the body. My work continues to have a common thread of humor and play.

As a student I received multiple awards including the Harold A. Milbrath Memorial Jewelry and Metalsmith 2nd Place Scholarship, the Loose Bead Society Scholarship, and the Arrowmont Jewelry and Metalsmithing Scholarship. I was also nominated for the Windgate Fellowhip Award, under the Center for Craft, Creativity and Design.

At the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, I worked as a studio technician, studio intern, and research assistant after being awarded $1,500 through Student Undergraduate Research Funding. Additionally, I had the honor of being a Student Artist in Residence at EastCastle Place, planning and facilitating workshops for aging residents in Fall of 2018.

Here's some of my earlier work where I first started to use expressive text in wearable objects.
